Heat Circuit Troubleshooting
No heat / no flame on the burner +
- Possible Solutions
- Motor is defective
- Resettable Safety Thermostat has tripped. Push to reset.
- Ignition control or "grey box" is defective
- Air flow switch is not pulling in
- Glass fuse is blown
- Spark Electrode (ceramic) is defective
- Temp probe under the dryer basket is damaged or wire connections are loose
- Main CPU control is defective
- 120 to 24vac transformer is defective. Test for voltage.
- Back draft air damper in the duct is stuck closed
- Membrane switch (touch pad) is damaged
- High limit thermostat is being tripped or damaged
- Issues with the low voltage ignition harness connected to the ignition control
- Gas supply issues or gas valve is defective
- Need to test voltage throughout heat circuit
Flame is burning, but taking a long time to dry +
- Possible Solutions
- Temp probe under the dryer basket is damaged or wire connections are loose
- Main CPU control is defective
- Lint Screens are clogged or ductwork is clogged
- Free makeup air to the space behind the dryer is inadequate or blocked
- Gas supply issues or gas valve is defective
Burner lights then shuts Off in a few seconds +

Display occasionally goes to FREE or loses time +

- Issue with battery or wiring harness connection on control board
- Main CPU control is defective
Dryer control accepts credits, but won’t start +

Water Fill/Drain Troubleshooting
Constant water filling or F2 / Slow Fill Error on the control. +
- Possible Solutions
- Water valve or diaphragm is defective
- Drain valve is not closing, could be obstructed
- Pressure switch tube is damaged or clogged
- Pressure switch is defective (PDF)
- Main relay PCB problem
- Pressure switch is defective (Video)
F2 / Slow Fill Error Low water levels in the machine regardless of temperature. +

- Water valve inlet screens are clogged
- Water valve or diaphragm is defective
- Water valve solenoids failed or open coil
- Drain valve is not closing, could be obstructed
- Pressure switch tube is damaged or clogged
- Pressure switch is defective (PDF)

F8 / Slow Drain Error Tub not draining water quickly. +
Door Lock/Door Sealing Troubleshooting
Water Leak at the door gasket +
- Possible Solutions
- Rotate and clean the door gasket, use the Dexter expander ring, or replace the gasket (PDF)

F1 / Door Lock Error Door failed to lock properly. +

- Door switch is defective or needs adjustment

Door handle spins around +

Loud buzzing from upper left hand corner of front panel +

- Door lock solenoid or gear motor is defective or needs adjustment
Door does not unlock at the end of the cycle +
Electrical Troubleshooting
Cylinder is not turning +

- Soft reset the machine
- Main control pcb problem
- Test for excessive or low voltage to the machine
- Failure of the variable frequency drive
- Broken V-belt or motor tension spring
Error Code F13, F15, F17, F19 +
- Possible Solutions
- Check data cable between the main control and the VFD
- Test for excessive or low voltage to the machine
- Main control pcb problem
- Failure of the variable frequency drive
1.5 amp Fuse is failing or 1.5 amp circuit breaker is tripping +
- Possible Solutions
- The drain valve is defective
- Water valve solenoids failed or open coil
- Door lock solenoid or gear motor is defective or needs adjustment
- Check the thermoactuators for proper operation

Controls Troubleshooting
Starts, beeps, counts 3,2,1 and stops +
